Module Two: a comprehensive intermediate module. Students will deepen their level of understanding of Massage Therapy by developing their Sports Massage skills. Sports Massage focuses on prevention of injuries and maintenance of the body.
Sports Massage is a massage tool that assists an athlete to become comfortable and confident with his/her abilities knowing that their body is capable of the physical stresses their sports demands of them.
The flushing techniques are helpful to get the athlete back training sooner than would normally by helping to reduce muscle soreness and stiffness after an activity.
Maintenance techniques are useful to find problematic muscle tightness which may inhibit any movement. Focusing on releasing the tension/muscle tightness in order for an athlete to perform at their full potential.
Stretching techniques are taught and used within the class environment.
Module TWO As well as developing skills in the techniques of Sports Massage, students learn 60+ individual skeletal muscles. Students learn the origin, insertion and basic actions of these muscles and use various mediums such as, colouring, mix mediums to place on miniature skeletons brought into class as well as the traditional study study study.
In Module TWO, students will not only gather intermediate techniques but will also deepen their level of Massage Therapy and develop the Client /Therapist relationship.
Students start to develop their own style with guidance as well as their understanding of chronic muscles, fascia and the nervous systems responses to therapist techniques and how to adapt to every individuals pain tolerance levels.

Full course attendance; students may not miss more than 2 practicals
15 hours practical massage therapy outside classroom hours
Obtain at least Grade C (50%-69%) for Anatomical Kinesiology
